My grandpa Jared lived here… let me say… what amazing care. I cannot believe how above and beyond they went for my grandpa. They did everything they could to make sure he enjoyed his last days. I found Barbur Vista after an exhaustive search for my husband. When I walked in I knew this was perfect!
It’s spacious and light with lots of room for him to go all around in his wheelchair or go for walks with his walker. There are 2 buildings and his building only has 14 residents, the other 16. He has a lovely private room with a large window that brings in lots of light, and, his own bathroom. It’s set against a beautiful wooded backdrop. There’s a large covered patio. And, when it’s warm out the residents do activities outside.
They have 3 healthy home cooked meals a day served in a lovely dining area.
The staff are very caring and the administrators are very responsive and helpful.
They have lots of group activities and a 2Xweek chaplain service, one day catholic and one day Protestant.
I spend time with my husband every day and feel so blessed to be able to go home at night and not worry about him.
